Freedompro modules can be added to Google Home through Matter. For a device already configured, use a temporary sharing code; for a new or reset device, use the original QR code.
Before you start
- Preferably configure the module in Freedompro Home first.
- Update Freedompro Home, Google Home, and your smartphone system services.
- Enable Bluetooth and connect to the local network.
Recommended method: module already configured
- Open Freedompro Home and select the module.
- Open the settings and start pairing with another service.
- Copy the temporary Matter code.
- Open Google Home.
- Tap Add and choose a device compatible with Matter.
- Select the option to set up without a QR code or to enter a pairing code.
- Paste the code and complete the setup.
- Assign the device to the correct home and room.
New or reset module: QR code
Important: Before using the original QR code, make sure the module is new or correctly reset. Initial setup in Freedompro Home is recommended to configure the product-specific functions.
- Put the module in pairing mode.
- In Google Home choose to add a Matter device.
- Scan the product QR code.
- Follow the procedure and assign the device to a room.
If Google Home does not complete pairing
- Generate a new sharing code.
- Check that Bluetooth, local network, and app permissions are enabled.
- Make sure the phone and Google controller are using the same home and network.
- Restart the module and the app without immediately performing a reset.
- If the device is already paired elsewhere, do not use the original QR code: share it from the existing ecosystem.
Expected result
The module will be visible in Google Home and you will be able to control the accessories supported by the app, routines, and Google Assistant.
