Move a module to another home or account

Careful procedure for removing, resetting and adding a Freedompro module to a new home or another account.

To move a module, you must remove the old associations and configure it in the new home.

In brief: Note the settings, remove the module from connected apps, reset it and add it as new in the destination.

Before you start

  • Note the name, room, control type, schedules and Habits.
  • Make sure you have the original QR code.
  • Make sure you can physically reach the Setup button.
  • Remove the module from external ecosystems where possible.

Procedure

  1. Delete the module from the current home.
  2. Perform a factory reset.
  3. Sign in to the destination account or home.
  4. Add the module as new.
  5. Recreate the required configuration and Habits.
  6. Reconnect the external ecosystems.
