What to do when Freedompro Home checks or installs a firmware update during setup.

Freedompro Home can check for available updates while adding the device.

In short: Keep the module, router, and smartphone powered and connected until the app shows Updated or lets you continue.

During the update

  • Do not cut power.
  • Do not close the app.
  • Keep your phone connected to the network.
  • Do not start a reset at the same time.
  • Wait for the final confirmation.

If it gets stuck

  1. Wait a few minutes without interrupting the process.
  2. Check that Internet and Wi-Fi are stable.
  3. Check the LED.
  4. Reopen the app only if the process no longer shows progress.
  5. Contact support with the model, serial number, app version, and the screen shown.

Why keep firmware updated

Updates can introduce new control modes and improve stability, networking, Matter pairing, power measurement, reset behavior, and shutter behavior.
