Remove a module from a Matter ecosystem

How to remove a Freedompro module from a single app without immediately performing a full reset.

Removing a device from a single app does not necessarily mean resetting the module.

In brief: First remove the device from the affected ecosystem and check the other connections before doing a reset.

General procedure

  1. Open the app from which you want to remove the device.
  2. Open the accessory settings.
  3. Select Remove, Delete device or the equivalent option.
  4. Confirm the removal.
  5. Check in Freedompro Home which services are still connected.
  6. Restart the module only if the status does not update.

When a reset is not needed

  • The module continues to work in Freedompro Home.
  • You only need to remove one of the connected platforms.
  • You want to generate a new code to add the same ecosystem again.

Command labels may vary between versions of Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and Home Assistant.
