How to transfer ownership of a home

Find out how to transfer ownership of a home to another member in the Freedompro Home app and what timing and consequences to expect.

Transferring ownership assigns administrative control of the home to another member. After completion, the previous owner remains in the home as a guest and can no longer change its main settings.

Before you start

  • The recipient must already be a member of the home.
  • If you manage multiple homes, select the correct one.
  • Inform the recipient: they will need to accept the invitation from the app.

How to start the transfer

  1. Open Freedompro Home.
  2. Tap the menu in the top left and select Manage home.
  3. Open Home members.
  4. Select the person who will become the owner.
  5. Tap Transfer ownership.
  6. Enter the home name to confirm.

What the new owner must do

  1. Open Freedompro Home.
  2. Open the transfer notification.
  3. Tap Accept.

Timing and cancellation

  • The invitation expires after 60 minutes.
  • The transfer can be canceled within 30 minutes, as long as the recipient has not already accepted.

Expected result

After acceptance, the recipient becomes the home owner and can manage members, rooms, devices, and settings.
