How to create, edit and delete rooms

Create, edit or delete a room and assign each accessory to the correct location in the Freedompro Home app.

Rooms help you organize accessories and find them quickly. A multi-channel module can control accessories located in different rooms: assign each individual channel to the correct room.

How to create a room

  1. Open Freedompro Home and select the correct home.
  2. Tap the + symbol in the top right.
  3. Select Add room.
  4. Enter the name, such as Kitchen, Living Room, or Bedroom.
  5. Choose an icon and tap Save.

How to assign or move accessories

  1. Open the menu in the top left.
  2. Go to Manage home and then Rooms.
  3. Select Edit next to the room you want.
  4. Add or remove accessories.
  5. Save the changes.

Example: If one module controls four lights, you can assign two channels to the living room and two to the hallway without moving the entire module.

How to delete a room

  1. Open the menu in the top left.
  2. Go to Manage home and then Rooms.
  3. Open the room you want to remove.
  4. Tap Delete room and confirm.

If you cannot edit a room

  • Check that you are the home owner or have the necessary permissions.
  • Make sure you have already paired and configured at least one module.
  • Confirm that you are in the correct home.

Expected result

Accessories will be organized by area and easier to find in the Dashboard and control screens.
