How to invite or remove a home member

Guide to sharing a Freedompro home, inviting a member with a link and removing users who should no longer have access.

You can share control of a home with family members, collaborators, or other people without transferring ownership. Each invitation applies to one home only.

How to invite a member

  1. Open Freedompro Home and select the correct home.
  2. Tap the + symbol in the top right.
  3. Select Invite member.
  4. Share the generated link with the person you want to invite.

Invitation validity: The link stays valid for 24 hours. The invited person must install Freedompro Home, open the link, and tap Accept.

How to remove a member

  1. Select the correct home.
  2. Open the menu in the top left.
  3. Go to Manage home.
  4. Select the member to remove.
  5. Tap Remove from home and confirm.

If the invitation does not work

  • Generate a new link if more than 24 hours have passed.
  • Check that the recipient opens the link on the phone where the app is installed.
  • Make sure the user signs in with the profile they want to use for the home.

Expected result

The new member will be able to control the home accessories according to the available permissions, without automatically becoming the owner.
