How to configure a dry contact as a pulse

Use Auto Off to turn a Freedompro module output into a temporary pulse.

Many gates, garage doors, and control units require a momentary contact closure, not a permanent command.

In short: enable Auto Off and set the duration required by the connected device.

Procedure

  1. Open the dry contact accessory.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Auto Off.
  4. Enable the function.
  5. Set the time required by the control unit.
  6. Save.
  7. Run a controlled test.

There is no universal time value suitable for every control unit. Use the value specified by the manufacturer of the gate, garage door, boiler, or connected device.
