How to use a Freedompro dry contact module to control a gate or automatic entrance.

A gate can be controlled with an SW module only if the control unit has a dry contact command input.

In brief: The module must replicate the push button or control selector; it must not be connected directly to the motor.

One independent command SW0901-E or SW0901-F

Essential checks

  • Dry contact input present on the control unit.
  • Type of command required by the manufacturer.
  • Pulse duration.
  • Power supply available for the module.
  • Wi-Fi coverage at the installation point.

Setup

  1. Have the module output connected to the command input of the control unit.
  2. Add the module to Freedompro Home.
  3. Configure the output as a dry contact.
  4. Set Auto Off to generate the required pulse.
  5. Test the command with the gate in safe conditions and under visual control.

Do not bypass photocells, safety devices or the control unit logic. The installation must be checked by a qualified technician.
