SW0702-E: installation and setup guide

Install and set up the Freedompro SW0702-E module for dry contacts. Wiring diagrams, technical data, pairing and troubleshooting.

SW0702-E is a Freedompro module designed to control 2 dry contacts. It lets you control devices with a dry contact input, such as gates, garage doors, locks, pumps, or irrigation systems.

How to install the module

  1. Disconnect power from the module and connected circuits.
  2. Insert SW0702-E behind the controls or in the intended box.
  3. Connect the two contacts to outputs O1 and O2 with common C12 according to the diagram.
  4. Connect the physical controls to inputs S1 and S2.
  5. Connect the module power supply according to the diagram.
  6. Check any separate supply of the controlled circuit and the allowed limits.
  7. Restore power and check the LED.
  8. Pair the module and configure name, control type, and Auto Off for each channel.

Professional wiring diagram

The professional diagram shows the connections to use during installation. Do not substitute the model, power supply, or terminal functions with instructions referring to other products.

Important notes

  • A dry contact does not provide voltage to the load: it opens or closes an external circuit.
  • For gates, garage doors, and locks, check in the control unit manual the required pulse duration.
  • On the two channels, common and wiring must follow the model diagram exactly.

Configuration in the app

  1. Open Freedompro Home.
  2. Add the module as a new device, or use the procedure for a module already paired.
  3. Scan the QR code.
  4. Assign a name to the module.
  5. Configure each accessory or channel.
  6. Test physical controls and app control.
  7. Only after verification, add any other Matter ecosystems.

If something does not work

  • If the device does not respond, check common, output, and the input type required by the control unit.
  • If the contact stays closed too long, check Auto Off.
  • If the physical control does not respond, check the configured input.
  • If the module is offline, check the LED and the Wi-Fi network.
  • Before performing a reset, recheck power supply, wiring, and configuration.
  • When contacting support, provide model, serial number, LED color, and observed behavior.
