LB0801-E: installation and setup guide

Install and set up the Freedompro LB0801-E module for lights. Wiring diagrams, technical data, pairing and troubleshooting.

LB0801-E is a Freedompro module designed to control 1 light point. It lets you manage lighting from the app, from compatible Matter ecosystems, and from existing physical controls.

In short

  • Channels: 1 light.
  • Installation point: 502/503 flush-mounted box.
  • Power supply: 110–240 V AC or 24 V DC (+5% / −15%).
  • Connectivity: 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Matter.
  • Local control: physical controls remain usable even without Internet, if the module is correctly powered and wired.

Safety: Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. Disconnect power, verify absence of voltage, and follow the wiring diagram specific to the model.

Before you start

  • Identify the exact model shown on the label.
  • Consult the model-specific wiring diagram included in this guide.
  • Check power supply voltage, load type, and expected current.
  • Make sure the box, panel, or technical compartment has enough space.
  • Keep the Matter QR code available for pairing.

How to install the module

  1. Disconnect power and verify absence of voltage.
  2. Insert LB0801-E behind the existing control.
  3. Connect the light to output O1 following the diagram.
  4. Connect the physical control to input S1.
  5. Connect the required power supply, respecting polarity in DC systems.
  6. Check terminal tightening and arrange the conductors.
  7. Restore power and check the LED.
  8. Pair the module and configure the light.

Simplified wiring diagram

Use the simplified diagram to recognize the general function of the terminals. For final wiring, always also refer to the professional diagram and the product technical documentation.

Professional wiring diagram

The professional diagram shows the connections to use during installation. Do not substitute the model, power supply, or terminal functions with instructions referring to other products.

Important notes

  • Use the input terminal indicated in the diagram: S1 is an input, not an output.
  • Check the current limit according to the supply type.

Configuration in the app

  1. Open Freedompro Home.
  2. Add the module as a new device, or use the procedure for a module already paired.
  3. Scan the QR code.
  4. Assign a name to the module.
  5. Configure each accessory or channel.
  6. Test physical controls and app control.
  7. Only after verification, add any other Matter ecosystems.

If something does not work

  • If the physical control does not work, check the input and the configured control type.
  • If a light stays always on or off, check the output and channel wiring.
  • If the module is offline, check the LED and the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
  • If consumption data does not appear, check that the channel is configured and that the load is active.
  • Before performing a reset, recheck power supply, wiring, and configuration.
  • When contacting support, provide model, serial number, LED color, and observed behavior.

Consumption and power

The module measures energy and power for each individual channel. The data is visible in the Consumption section of Freedompro Home and is exposed through Matter.

Expected result

The LB0801-E module will be online, configured in Freedompro Home, and ready to control lights from the app, physical controls, and connected Matter ecosystems.
