Backup, restore and reset for Easykon for KNX

How to create a backup of Easykon for KNX and which checks to carry out before a reset.

Resetting removes the existing configuration and should be the last option.

In brief: Create a backup and keep the ETS project separately before taking action.

Create the backup

  1. Sign in to the web interface.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Backup and restore.
  4. Create the backup.
  5. Save the file in a safe place.
  6. Also keep the original ETS project.

Before the reset

  • Make sure the backup has been saved.
  • Write down the IP address and network configuration.
  • Keep the group addresses and datapoints.
  • Try a restart.
  • Check the bus and Ethernet.

The imported KNX project and some private settings may not be included in the backup. Always keep the ETS project separately.

Reset

  1. Locate the reset button.
  2. Press it with a paper clip and keep it pressed.
  3. Release it when the LED flashes blue.
  4. Wait for the restart.
  5. Restore or recreate the configuration.
