Easykon for KNX connects a KNX system to supported smart ecosystems and to the Freedompro Home app. It is a professional DIN-rail bridge with KNX bus and Ethernet connection: it is not a Matter product.
Who this guide is for
This procedure is intended for installers and system integrators who need to mount Easykon, access the web interface, import the ETS project or enter the group addresses, and complete pairing with the app.

What you need
- Easykon for KNX.
- 12/24 V AC/DC, 0.1 A power supply.
- Connection to the KNX bus.
- RJ45 Ethernet cable connected to the local network.
- KNX group addresses or an ETS file in .knxproj or .xml format.
- Access to the local network and the Freedompro Home app.
1. Installation in the panel
- Disconnect power from the system.
- Clip Easykon onto the DIN rail.
- Connect the 12/24 V AC/DC power supply.
- Connect the Ethernet cable.
- Connect the KNX bus, respecting the connector and required polarity.
- Check the wiring and restore power.
- Wait for startup and verify the status LED.
2. Accessing the web interface
- Identify the IP address assigned to Easykon by the router or through a network scanning tool.
- Open the IP address in a browser connected to the same local network.
- Tap Sign in.

- Wait for the configuration panel to load.
3. Creating KNX accessories
- Create a new accessory.
- Assign a clear name and choose the correct category.
- Enter the required command and status group addresses.
- Add any supported additional characteristics.
- Save and verify operation before moving to the next accessory.
Main characteristic: The main characteristic of an accessory cannot be replaced directly. If you need to change it, create a new correct accessory and remove the previous one after verification.
4. Importing the ETS project
- Open the project import area.
- Select the file .knxproj o .xml.
- Start the import.
- Review the project structure.
- Drag or select the group addresses to associate them with the accessory parameters.
- Save and test command and status.
5. Adding to Freedompro Home
- Open Freedompro Home and sign in.
- Add a module or select Easykon from the detected devices.
- Choose Easykon for KNX.
- Enter the required security code.
- Assign the accessories to rooms.
- Confirm the configuration.
Configuration backup
Create a backup after completing and verifying the mapping.
- Access the web interface.
- Open Settings.
- Select Backup and restore.
- Create the backup and save the file in a safe place.
The backup does not include: The imported KNX project and the users' private settings may not be included. Keep the original ETS project separately.

Status LED
- Solid blue: system active and operating.
- Blinking blue: reset or unpairing in progress.
- Blinking magenta: no communication with the KNX bus.
- Solid magenta: no Internet connection.
- Blinking red: initialization.
- Solid red: Ethernet cable not connected or not detected.
Factory reset
Warning: The reset removes the current configuration. Before proceeding, create a backup and make sure you have the ETS project and the group addresses.
- Locate the reset button.
- Press it with a paperclip and keep it pressed.
- Release it when the LED starts blinking blue.
- Wait for the restart and repeat the configuration.
If something does not work
- Check power supply, Ethernet, and KNX bus connection.
- Check the IP address and reachability from the local network.
- Check group addresses, datapoints, and command/status associations.
- Make sure the imported project is the updated one.
- Test each accessory in the Easykon interface before connecting external services.
- Restart the device before performing a reset.
Expected result
Mapped KNX accessories will be available in Freedompro Home and in the configured compatible ecosystems, with command and status aligned with the entered group addresses.
