How to set the security code for Google Home

The security code is used by Google Home to authorize the control of sensitive accessories such as doors and locks.

In short: choose a numeric code from 4 to 6 digits in the Freedompro Profile.

Setting the code

  1. Open Profile.
  2. Open Configuration.
  3. Select Codice di sicurezza.
  4. Enter 4 to 6 digits.
  5. Confirm with the check mark.

What it is for

  • It authorizes operations requested by Google Home on doors and locks.
  • It reduces the risk of unauthorized voice commands on sensitive accessories.

What it is not for

  • It does not block access to Freedompro Home.
  • It does not protect Dashboard tiles.
  • It does not replace the Matter code.

Do not use easily guessable codes and do not share them in chats or public screenshots.
